From the material to piston profile, these lightweight pistons have been developed using know how gained in racing applications.

The weight of the pistons is a major factor determining engine response as it allows the piston to reciprocate freely.
It also helps to reduce the impact force at every crank rotation, which reduces burden on the bearings.
Through careful research and development, these pistons are lightweight, but strength is largely unaffected by using a balanced rib around the pin.
Slipper type skirts allow them to be shortened to the absolute limit.
